Beginning February 2008, I launched a monthly blog series called “Design Student of the Month.” The goal was to highlight creative students in Canada who are doing innovative work to improve people's life through interactive, visual, informational, and other areas of User Experience Design. This has improved my connection with design schools, faculty and students and helped show that Microsoft cares about the future of design. | |

[Podcast] Microsoft Designer: Cinthya Urasaki I conducted a series of podcasts with designers at Microsoft during my spare time in Redmond. I did it because there are about 500 designers working at Microsoft and people in the UX community were always surprised to hear that. We haven't given our designers enough opportunities to talk about what they do and how they work as designers at Microsoft. This post is with Cinthya Urasaki, a UX Design Lead at the Unlimited Potential User Experience Team.To see more podcasts with Microsoft designers and other influential designers in the industry I had the chance to chat with, please see here. |

| During MIX08, I had the chance to experience a variety of surface demo applications and record them. In the blog post, I created a video gallery of 5 different surface usage scenarios that I recorded during the conference to share with the community. They are viewing photos, dining, concierge, painting, and water simulation. |
